JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

Collects, organizes and analyzes information through records, interviews, tests and professional sources in conjunction with other regional center professionals to determine eligibility of applicants for regional center services. Conduct psychological assessments, and/or participate in an interdisciplinary assessment team to rule-out/confirm the diagnosis of a developmental disability. Participates in multidisciplinary staffing, consults with regional center staff, consumers and families, service providers, and/or community members regarding consumer needs and service provision. Represents and/or presents expert testimony for the regional center in administrative hearings. Participates as required in legal activities related to the court. Participates as needed in resource groups and resolution/review committees. Approves referrals to vendored psychologists and related services and monitors quality of services provided.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1.

Possession of a doctoral degree in psychology or educational psychology from a regionally accredited university or graduate school.

 

 

2.

Possession of a valid psychologist license issued by the California Board of Psychology.

 

 

3.

A minimum of two years experience working in areas related to developmental disabilities. At least one of these years must be post-doctoral.

 

 

4.

Possession of a valid California Driver license, an insured vehicle or other means of transportation that will permit incumbent to discharge job duties effectively and efficiently is required.

MONTHLY SALARY RANGE:

$6,792 - $9,209
