Since 1997, the Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC) has hosted an annual event called the Spotlight Awards to recognize people and organizations who stand out as role models of selfless service and dedicated advocacy in working with people with developmental disabilities, such as mental retardation, autism, cerebral palsy and epilepsy.
The Spotlight Awards event is always a festive and inspirational evening. In 2012, the RCOC and its Board of Directors will join with the community to honor the contributions of those who excel in their service to individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange County at a Spotlight Awards dinner and dance event to be held on Friday, March 16th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Anaheim.
Nominations for Spotlight Awards are now being accepted. You are invited to nominate an individual or organization in one or more of the following categories: Community Partnership, Consumer, Elected Official, Employer, Frontline, Lifetime Achievement, Living Options (Residential) Vendor, Parent/Family Member, Professional Achievement, RCOC Achievement, Support Services Vendor, E. Kurt Yeager Servant Leadership and Volunteer. An Official Nomination Form is attached. Entries must be postmarked by Friday, February 3, 2012.
Winners will be notified ahead of time and Spotlight Awards will be presented on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Anaheim.
